Doing the Dew, Old School Style
Russ
Alright, so I decided since Mountain Dew is just so awesome, why not have a whole room just Dewed out? That's right. A whole room dedicated to the Dew. I have decided to paint my room in the Mountain Dew fashion. I am going to be painting all of the walls the dark green that is in the "Mountain" part of the logo. The trim will all be the light green that is outlining the letters in the logo. The carpet and ceiling will eventually be the red in the "Dew" part of the logo (Though the carpet will be last, it costs way too much). All of the walls will be painted like this.. Except for one. This one wall will have a giant Mountain Dew logo painted on. I am going to use my projector for my computer, and project up a huge image of the Mountain Dew logo on the wall, then trace the logo, color code it, and start painting. This will make it easiest to get the logo up on the wall and looking the best. That wall will be painted last though, for it will take the longest.
I have already started on one of the walls, and I am actually now almost done with that one. Below are some images.
The wall. The back part in the shelf that has not been painted will be red.
The two main colors that are going to be used on the walls
The light switches and plugs on the wall will be the light green as well
Tonight we also took a lot of abstract images with my camera.. I don't know, maybe it was the paint fumes that did it to us. You can view all of these images by clicking here .

Here are some images of all of the crushed cans that we have, and how to crush and drill the holes in the cans.
First you start off with an empty Mountain Dew can (Or beverage of your choice). You will want to clean it out with water and wipe if off probably, or else you will end up with sticky drill bits and soda might leak out if there is any in.
Next you will want to lay it down flat with the big logo on the bottom.
Now you fold one end towards the middle
Then fold the other end in towards the middle
Then take a hammer, and flatten the can as much as possible without making it look really bad. Below is a good thickness for the can
Now you will want to drill four holes in the can. Two on the top and two on the bottom. Make sure wheen drilling the ho9les, that they are not too close to each other, and that there is enough thick metal between the holes so they don't come together.
Now you will be putting the cans together in strips using baling wire. You thread the baling wire through the front of the two cans, and twist it together on the back. Eventually you will have boxes lining the back so that all of the baling wire does not dig into your skin. You will want to make it so that the top of one can is below the bottom of the next can. These strips are usually only about five long. You can adjust as needed.
After you have all of these strips done, they will be put together to form the Mountain Dew Armor. Pictures of that when we have ours started.

The Mountain Dew Armor was created from about 200 limited edition The Hulk Mountain Dew cans that were only out in the summer of 2003. It is made up of about 200 empty cans and held together with baling wire. It has a cardboard backing inside to prevent scratches. We made this because we are very addicted to Mountain Dew, and had nothing else to do that summer.
The first public appearance of the Mountain Dew Armor was at a WWE event at the World Arena in Colorado Springs. We sat in the employee area thanks to tickets from Jeff (The Master Beta Tester). One of the promotions people loved the armor, and called us asking if we wanted to do a promotion with the armor. We loved the idea, and ended up throwing bottles of Mountain Dew to fans every time a team scored in a high school hockey playoff game at the World Arena.
The Mountain Dew Armor also ended up being my senior picture. I had an underground business of selling Mountain Dew at school because only Coca Cola products were sold. I and a couple others had booming business, and it only felt right to have the Mountain Dew Armor be in my senior picture.
In December of 2005 we took the Mountain Dew Armor out to the Citadel Mall in Colorado Springs and handed out free Mountain Dew with a Surpass Hosting flier banded to it. We had a great reception there by everybody who saw it (except for a security guard), and we ended up winning a contest from Surpass Hosting for the video. You can watch the remixed video below. We removed a couple of boring parts and added better music than the original.
The Mountain Dew Armor was also used in the You Stole My Dew video, created by the members of Broken Fork (of which I am a founding member). Watch the You Stole My Dew video below:
And you thought you were addicted to Mountain Dew.

The Random Dew Sightings section here is a work in progress. We are working on a simple way for you to upload any pictures of random Dew sightings that you might see in everyday, normal situations. This includes people drinking Dew, seeing a Dew can, and anything else involving Dew that is random. More information to come in the future.
UPDATE:
We now have a place to put all of the Random Dew Sightings! Join the Random Dew Sightings group on Flickr! If you have not joined Flickr yet, you need to. You can upload your photos and all that fun stuff. But the most important part, is uploading the Dew Sightings to the group. Join today, and the Dew Knight will be proud of you!

Recently, not much happening. Went to Chipotle last night. Oh how I love Chipotle. Favorite food in the world… And don’t anybody even speak of the foolish Qdoba… THE FOOLS! After Chipotle, we went to Wal Mart. We tried everything we could to get kicked out, but nothing worked! First off, we had some sword fights with the noodles. After that, a little jousting with bikes and noodles, followed by frisbees. We then had some horse races (Steve was the champion). We also had a car race. Nate lost because he forgot to shift! After that we just went around causing madness and the like. Nate was going to take his shirt off and run around yelling Jihad!! But he did not… So boo lang.
