Doing the Dew, Old School Style
Continuing my previous post on music, one of the other sites I frequent when looking for independent, unsigned, or new music, is Amie Street. Quite a few ways that they’re awesome, but I love how they price the music. Every song starts out free, absolutely no money to download. The more people that start recommending it and downloading it, the higher the price goes. The price eventually tops out at 99 cents. I love being able to find new artists, or even existing artists, and being able to get a DRM free song, and most of the time at a fraction of the normal price. Another great feature is the ability to recommend music. If you like something, you can recommend it. If the price continues to climb after you recommend it, you can later cash out and earn money for recommending the song. The best thing I like is the radio part. I can listen to songs from one genre, and when I see something I like, I can then listen to more by that artist, or buy the song. The first artist I found was Alexa Ray Joel. I got all of the songs she had on for nothing. She has a great voice, and has many great influences.
