Local TV stations are ridiculous

First they started with the huge weather alerts taking up 1/4 of the screen, cutting off the current show and any subtitles. Now they’re adding to the bottom of the screen with an alert for a fire that isn’t really endangering anybody. It’s so damn annoying, I can’t just watch TV anymore. I could maybe understand if they were on there only for a little bit, but these were both on for almost the whole episode of Heroes.
