Doing the Dew, Old School Style

Super Media Store is just that. It has every type of media you could think of. It’s my favorite place to buy CDR’s, DVDR’s, DVD cases, Mini DV tapes, etc. You can get really cheap CDR media, cheap DVDRW media, everything. They have all of the brand name media, for prices less than the big box stores. They have all types of disc media, flash drives, data tapes, accessories, and even blu-ray discs. You can also get pretty much any type of ink cartridge that you can imagine. If you like, you can also get the refilled ink, which costs a whole lot less than brand new ink cartridges.

If you do a lot of disc duplication, you may also want to buy a duplicator. I’ve got one, and it makes burning and printing tons of DVD’s a lot less time consuming than it used to be. Since I get all of my DVD-R’s from Super Media Store, it makes it all cheaper to duplicate as well.

Colorado RockiesContinuing my previous thoughts on the Rockies. I have decided if they do happen to make it to the World Series, I don’t care how broke I am: I am going to one of those games. I don’t really have a favorite team, but I’ve had a cousin on the Rockies, and they are the only team I’ve ever gone to see (at a home stadium). They pretty much are my team, and I will support them if I have to go begging in the street, or kill a ticket scalper to be able to go to a World Series game that they are in.

  • Woohoo the Rockies are doing awesome this year (at least the second part of it). They just beat the Phillies 2-1 for a trip to the NLCS! They’ve done awesome so far, and any more games that they win is just icing on the cake. I wish I had been at this game, but at least I got to watch it on TV. Go Rockies!

  • As a college student, I look for any and every scholarship that I can find. I hate the writing ones because usually I write about things that they don’t want to hear about. The Gallery Collection is having a $10,000 scholarship contest, and all you have to do is design a greeting card. That’s easy enough for me, and something I like to do. The contest is available to high school and college students, and easy to enter right from their website.

If you need design ideas, think of something like business christmas cards. You know, those cards that businesses send out to their customers and business contacts every year, with a picture of all of the staff on them. Most of them are home-made and pretty cheap. We need some new alternatives and awesome designs for businesses to pick from!

Check out the contest, make up some quick designs, and pick the one you like. You never know, you might win $10,000 for school, which is a lot of money for a student, I know. Your design could also be used all over the world for businesses to use to let their customers know that they really do love them. Aww, how sweet.

  • Carlos Miguel’s Mexican restaurant in Colorado Springs and Woodland Park, Colorado is the best Mexican food in the state. Absolutely every item on their menu is tasty and full of flavor and spices. The signature dishes are great creations by the chefs.

Their chips are fantastic. They are not like many other restaurants where it seems they just poured them out of a bag into a basket. Every one of their salsas are full of flavor and delicious. They can make hotter salsas to suit your taste as well as my favorite, their white habanero sauce. Fiery habanero that goes perfect with any of their dishes.

I have visited their Woodland Park location countless times, and their Colorado Springs location once so far. I will be returning frequently, and hope that they continue to expand throughout Colorado and the country.

Check out Carlos Miguel’s in Colorado Springs at 110 E Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. or some of their other locations:

740 N Summit Blvd, Frisco, CO
730 E US Highway 24, Woodland Park, CO

I know there are 6 total in Colorado, but I don’t remember all of them.

  • Job at a call center

So I’m just about to start a job for a Virtual Call Center. It’s just like a real call center, but instead of being in a big building, you’re at your house and they route the calls to your landline. I’ve already been offered the job, sent off all their paperwork, and am just waiting for my login information. I’m glad to be able to get this job, because my school schedule just doesn’t allow for a normal job. The hours that I have available, and that I am most productive are late nights. I’ll be able to schedule the hours that I want with this job, and easily work around my school schedule. Plus the pay is pretty good as well. I’m glad that I’ve always been nice to any sales calls I’ve received. I wouldn’t want bad call center karma coming back to haunt me.
