I miss Star Wars Galaxies

In my opinion, Star Wars Galaxies was the greatest MMO that was ever made. You had an awesome economy, awesome skill system, choose your path, customize your character and change it in any way you wanted at any time. And all this set in the Star Wars universe. That is, until they screwed it all up with the Combat Upgrade (CU) and New Game Enhancement (NGE).
I think about a year ago I remember trying an emulation that people were putting together that would be Star Wars Galaxies back when it was awesome. There wasn’t much you could do so I left. It was exciting that they were making it, but nothing really worked. I just checked their site again today and it looks like they are pretty far along. I’m redownloading everything again so I can start helping them test and get it done ASAP. I can’t wait til they finish it, there is just so much I want to do again in SWG.
If I ever won the lottery, I think I would give a large amount of money to the people making SWGEmu so they could quit their jobs and finish the project. that is how bad I wish to play it again.

What a coencidence, I just fired up SWG after about 2 years. I came back to find my server abandoned, I saw 3 people there the whole time. Cornet was empty!!! Aparently the game is so frelled, a guild of exploiters pissed everyone off so much that they all left the Kettemoor server. I ran around on a different server, and it’s still glitchy as hell. SOE, suck my mivonks!
I’m getting tiered of Eve now too. It’s a great game, it just requires a huge investment of time to have any fun. I plan on checking out Star Trek Online when it comes out, even though I’m not a huge fan of ST. I just need sci-fi, WOW don’t do it for me. Also eagerly anticipating the Firefly MMO for the Multiverse platform, though I wonder of its quality as the developers’ buget seems to be limited. CURSE YOU FOX! CURSE YOUUUUUU!
SWG is just completely crap now. I tried it again a few months ago and it was just so bad. The whole following a storyline from a character deal was the worst. I got bored of Eve as well, can’t spend enough time in it.
SWGEmu is still years away I think from being ready. I tried WoW again this last month, and while I loved killing alliance fools, it still was just the same old WoW.
I can’t wait for Starcraft 2. I am hoping they get it right, and even though it’s not an MMORPG, it will still give some great online play.
