Ok well for music… if you use something like Rhapsody you can download all the music you want then run them through a program like tunebite. I have all the music I want and there is no DRM or any other problem that comes up… once the music is on your computer who are they to know what you do with it. It’s like recording one tape to another… just waay better quality.

easy way is get a job in a pc repair shop buy a big external hard drive, when the computers come in for repair search the hard drive and copy all the files that someone else has downloaded with bitcomet or whatever, much quicker and an amazing variety of files that you never thought of searching forf but often are quite good and if you dont like them just delete them
90% of the pcs that come in for repair have something on them worth having
then share/swap them with your mates
why share with a load of anonymous people you will never meet whilst taking the risk of getting caught

wow thanks for this info i will have to download it asap! im not in the states but in a different country altogether n just got an email from our internet company from aother one of those anti privacy lurkers in the states regarding my downloading n my internet company said if i continue they willcancel my service

I was also given a ‘cease and desist’ for downloading HBO shows. COX communications in Phoenix, AZ. They apparently have a 3 strikes rule though …

Just thought i should add, i have been downloading torrents for years and have been sent like 3 warnings and all from downloading HBO shows and movies so if i were you i would stay away from HBO programs. Just a tip

Just an observation, but it seems like 90% of the people who received letters, and had their ISP call them, were caught via movie downloading. Anyone get a letter or call from music??

I was actually caught for illegal downloading twice… I downloaded Kung Fu Hustle and Carlito’s Way and that movie was made in like 1992 i downloaded it through BitTorrent off the site TorrentReactor… next thing you know Charter communcations calls me and said Columbia Pictures contacted them. They only warned me but got on me not to do it anymore. So now im kind of scared to download movies at all.
