I am going through right now and trying to line out what I want with Sammiching. I really wish I knew more programming stuff, I just haven’t done it in forever so I’ve forgotten almost everything. I want to do it, and get it all done fast but I know I won’t be able to.
Hopefully I can get this planned out, and then kind of get a basic structure of how the website will work. If I can do that then I can actually start coding some of the smaller things. It’s just that I have no idea where to start when planning out how the whole site will work.
If you know PHP or Ruby and want to help, it would be awesome. Sammiching is a website where you share sandwiches that you make or buy. It’s gonna be awesome.

Share sandwiches that you make or buy? How do you mean? Can’t realy help you with PHP or Ruby, but I did need to connect an online form with dropdown menus to a mysql database which would list results from the database based on the choices selected. I just scrapped together bits of code after searching through google and doing a bit of trial and error. Putting together a PHP query from Google isn’t so difficult if you know even the basics of programming.
It will mainly be for sandwiches that you made, but one you purchased is good too.
I’m going to try and add the different sandwiches from all the big places. There’ll be a rating system as well so you can find the best sandwiches
I see. Interesting project. Do make a new post about this when the site goes live. I’d like to mention it in my blog posts (triphow.com). I’m a bit fond of blogging about food.
Definitely will do. I’ll probably make a few posts here on the status of it as it’s coming along.
