Short Stop Hamburgers let me down

I’ve heard good things about Short Stop Hamburgers in Colorado Springs, CO from many people for a while now so I decided to check it out today. Unfortunately they failed at delivering good service and good food.
I’m a weird, obsessive compulsive person so I order my cheeseburgers plain. It’s something I’ve done forever and I believe that a good burger shouldn’t need any of that extra junk on top of it to make it taste better.
Apparently in Short Stop land plain means you get ketchup, mustard, and possibly even mayonnaise on your burger. I had already driven away by the time I discovered this, assuming they were smart enough to know what plain means. I decided to just go with it and scraped it off.
After getting past the awful mustard taste the burger didn’t really satisfy. It wasn’t exceptional, it wasn’t very tasty. It was just a regular old frozen meat patty. McDonalds makes better burgers than this.
On to the fries. While they were nice and greasy (just they way I like em), they didn’t taste like much of anything. They could have used a little more salt and they even seemed as if they were frozen.
So Short Stop Hamburgers failed at delivering what I ordered, and at delivering a tasty burger. Maybe next time I’ll just stop at Big Kahuna Burger

Ahh, I get my burgers plain, too! I hate…HATE when fast food joints mess that up. It just doesn’t taste the same when you have scrap stuff off. Bleh.
Yeah they just taste better like that, they shouldn’t need extra junk on them!
I usually go back, but this time I was just trying to see how they did. Plus I didn’t really have the time for it.
The worst is the Mayo when you ask them to hold….Sorry but Burger King is the worst offender in my town, always gobbing 2 tablespoons of Mayo on my Whopper when I dont want any. Hold the heart attack please!
It’s not so much that mayo is unhealthy, it’s just that mayo plain sucks.
The Burger King here usually is OK. Since I go there a lot they usually know what I order.
I really can’t stand somebody at a burger place that can’t get an order right. It really just makes me angry. Are you that stupid at such an easy job that you can’t do it right?
As Leno once said, “You expect someone who is paid $5 and hour and hasn’t gotten their high school diploma and can’t get a better job than that to care about your order? You are living in a dream world my friend.” Im reminded of that every time some moron messes up my order. Just remember Russ. Always ask for a SMALL seasoned curlies. .
And in mayo’s defense. . . If you want mayo that actually taste good and is heart health get canola mayo, full of omega’s. . .
