Doing the Dew, Old School Style

Entrecard, the revolutionary blog to blog advertising network has partnered with SezWho to reward users for flooding blogs across the internet with quality, well though comments.
Entrecard has chosen to team up with SezWho to give you credits for your comments. All you have to do is register for SezWho from your dashboard, install SezWho on your blog using the provided Wordpress plugin or paste some code in for Blogger. Next you start commenting, rating comments, and earning credits.
You can earn up to 150 credits per day for quality comments on blogs with Entrecard and Sezwho installed. The credits are on a scale of 10, depending on the quality of your comment (which is determined by other users that rate your comment). This is great for people looking for more credits and more comments. This is absolutely full of awesome for those looking for better quality comments. There is going to be a huge flood of comments all around the internet. There is no incentive to leave comments that suck because you won’t get credit for them.
Partnering with SezWho is a genius move by EntreCard. Getting a network of 14,000 bloggers together commenting on blogs every day is really going to help revive the blogosphere. I can’t wait to see the burst of traffic that thousands of blogs start receiving because of this. This is going to cause the quality of blogs to increase substantially. Graham over at Entrecard has written an amazing post on the Entrecard Blog about this partnership, and how to use it effectively.

I personally feel there will be a few things left undone and a few stones left unturned. We will just have to see wont we
Sure, whenever you implement a new feature there are things that can be improved. But seeing how Entrecard has handled everything so far, I expect to see a lot of greatness come from this partnership.
At first I didn’t see any sign of SezWho on the blog, that was until I stopped to comment. I wanted to rate your post for being a good post. I am very excited about this partnership, it looks very promising.
I’m working on fixing the integration right now. For some reason when not using auto integration with the plugin the mouseover and ratings seem to stop working. I’m just gonna go back to auto for now.
Thanks for the comment!
I had an EC friend asking me if I was going to integrate SezWho. I am still unsure but since learning that the comments will be rated for quality, that means that *quality* comments are going to be what counts, eh? [So no, "Great post!" comments thinking they're getting DO FOLLOWED with no repercussions; as these sorts of comments can actually be rated lower.]
I have ADD so I am using that as my excuse on this but…
*Who* gets the credits for the quality comments?
– The commenter? [So the blog-master is doing a favor for the commenter in exchange for a quality comment?]
– Or the blog? [So that the commenter is doing a service to the blog?]
It seems silly and almost clear after writing it out that it’s the former but am I correct?
You are correct. You create or link a SezWho account with Entrecard. Whenever you comment using that email address it stores the comment. From there there’s a 24 hour waiting period between when you commented and when you get credits to allow time for your comment to be rated.
Credits are given on a scale of 10, depending on how your comment was rated. You can earn maximum of 150 credits a day from commenting, with a max of 15 comments that are credited. Don’t just limit yourself to 15 though!
Well, I’ve signed up but for some reason . . . I can’t seem to upload any images, so my little avatar is just a black square. I swear that is NOT my entrecard widget or anything else, for that matter.
I use blogger, so I’m hoping that this is not a blogger issue. I did check the sezwho blog and it seems there were some earlier image upload issues, but they are supposedly fixed. I don’t know - they aren’t fixed for me yet (I tried again after reading that blogpost).
Russ, if you have any ideas - let me know. I think this is a great incentive to not only post, but to comment and yes, build a community of like minded folks. For that, I’m excited by the partnership of Entrecard and SezWho.
Thanks - and yes, “great post!” (I guess now this will become a kindof wry or ironic comment, since it, by itself, won’t garner much in the way of credits!).

Everything about this partnership looks OK to me but… rewarding people for comments? It sounds like people are being paid to drop comments, just as entrecard is “paying” bloggers to visit blogs.
“rewarding” good comments with credits will greatly reduce the value of commenting. Many people will be dropping comments around just for the sake of credits. How well will those comments be? Genuine?
Don’t be surprised bloggers start rating their own comments. The rating system is a bit whack. I hope they improve on it.
The good thing about the rating system is that if a blogger sees a comment that looks to be fake or just really sucks, they can rate it down and the person will get little or no credit. It will take a while, after a bit the people trying just to get credits for comments instead of trying to help improve the blogosphere will see that it’s not worth their time and give up.
This will work best if everybody rates every comment they see based on quality. Especially the owner of a blog.
@Laura have you posted about your problem on the forums yet? They seem to do a good job of fixing problems there. http://sezwho.com/support/
Thanks for the comment!
I wish it would work right though. Most of the time, the rating for my comments on my blog isn’t there and when I post new articles, it takes a long time for the rating stars to appear at the bottom of the post. I left a note on some forum about it (don’t remember now if it was entrecard’s or sezwho. I think it was sezwho.)
