If you ever are asked to speak with the police about anything do not. Use your fifth amendment right and say nothing. You have the right and you should use it. Even the supreme court says that you should never talk to the cops. I know the following videos are long, but they are so worth watching. You should know your rights and exercise them!
Even Justice Robert Jackson said that you should never talk to the police under any circumstances.
“any lawyer worth his salt will tell the suspect in no uncertain terms to make no statement to the police under any circumstances.”

16|Sep|2009 1Good info that a lot of people should hear. One of the big problems is that a prosecutor’s job is (logically) opposite of a defense attorney’s job. Your layer has to defend you even if they know you’re guilty. A prosecutor will do their best to put you in jail, get a plea bargain, or get any kind of conviction, even if they know for a fact that you are innocent. It’s what they’re paid to do.
