Doing the Dew, Old School Style

It has been our long desire (for about a month at least) to have a Chipotle burrito with bacon in it. At first we were thinking of bringing bacon in and hoping the cool manager was there and that he would cook it. We never really got around to it.
Finally the other night we had our dream burrito! We bought our burritos to go and headed to the IHOP next door. We kept our burritos hidden as we ordered some bacon (and a friend ordered a whole meal). When the bacon arrived we whipped out our burritos and added it in. The burritos were amazing! When you add bacon to anything it becomes the perfect food, but these were just so good!
The manager wasn’t very cool though, and got all upset at us for bringing food in. I could understand it if we only ordered like coffee, but two of us ordered bacon and coffee, two ordered drinks, and one got a whole actual meal. We also tipped really good. He wanted to kick us out but he knew he was wrong. Now I remember why I usually go to Dennys for this sort of thing, they’re not all stuck up over there. But the manager couldn’t change the fact that it was an awesome burrito.

I am going through right now and trying to line out what I want with Sammiching. I really wish I knew more programming stuff, I just haven’t done it in forever so I’ve forgotten almost everything. I want to do it, and get it all done fast but I know I won’t be able to.
Hopefully I can get this planned out, and then kind of get a basic structure of how the website will work. If I can do that then I can actually start coding some of the smaller things. It’s just that I have no idea where to start when planning out how the whole site will work.
If you know PHP or Ruby and want to help, it would be awesome. Sammiching is a website where you share sandwiches that you make or buy. It’s gonna be awesome.
A friend and I have found the secret behind the success of Mexican restaurants. You know how there are always people at Mexican restaurants? And how they never seem to go out of business, but instead are constantly multiplying? It’s because of the music.
Yes, the Mariachi and Tejano music that is played in Mexican restaurants across the nation is the secret to their great success. We have studied this in depth and have come upon this explanation.
When you are listening to Mariachi and Tejano music you are happy. You will be in a general state of calm and happiness until you stop listening to the music. At that point you will begin to become upset. You will not know why you are upset and try and do all you can to stop it. The only way of course is to listen to more Mariachi or Tejano music.
While you are in the general state of calm and happiness in side the restaurant you are pretty much willing to do anything. Since there is so much food around, you will naturally eat it. The food combines with the music and causes you to feel even happier. You will want to continue eating the food because if you don’t you will start to become unhappy. Thus you will continue eating and eating until you are absolutely stuffed, or the restaurant closes.
After eating in so many Mexican restaurants you begin to come conditioned to the music. If you happen to hear it passing by somewhere or on the radio, your body will start to remember what happens when you hear the music: happiness and food. You will instantly become hungry and need to eat somewhere. It does not matter what kind of food you eat with the music, they work together to make you happy.
Any restaurant can take advantage of this. We have listened to this music while eating food from other restaurants and experienced the same effects. If every restaurant were to play this music they would become more profitable and attract many more customers. Customers would stay to eat longer and they would sell much more food than they do now.
This is a secret that I am now giving away freely. You can increase your restaurant’s profits by simply playing Mariachi or Tejano music in your building. When you become successful, please remember the countless hours of research we put into this and consider sending us some food or gift certificates to your restaurant. (And I am totally serious about this whole post.)
Think Geek just released a new product: Primer Caffeinated Breath Spray. It is a tube of breath spray with about 33mg of caffeine in every spray. Spray it under your tongue and the caffeine rushes right to your blood stream (instead of having to go through your digestive system first). The whole container is 8ml and contains 1400mg of caffeine.
Unfortunately the shipping cost is $6.50 for an $8.99 two pack. I wish they would sell them here because I really don’t want to pay that much. If anybody else here in WP wants to get some, let me know and we can split shipping costs. Otherwise I’ll probably wait a couple weeks until I have some cash to spare.
Seriously, why doesn’t Woodland Park have a Denny’s? I get some of my best ideas at Denny’s at 3 AM, but we don’t have one. We don’t even have an Ihop, or any other 24 hour restaurant. What are the night people like me supposed to do?
Denny’s corporate: If you are reading this, give Woodland Park, Colorado a Denny’s! We just got a Wal Mart, we have a KFC coming, we have tons of other businesses, and I will be there NONSTOP!
There are so many restaurants and businesses that we need up there, and less of the stupid, stuck up stores (like Ben Franklin’s). I wish I was in charge of this town.
I just tried Domino’s new Crispy Melt Pizza for the first time, and it was actually pretty good. I don’t usually like Domino’s because they aren’t my style of pizza (less sauce, more cheese/grease), but this tasted very good. Now of course, it doesn’t look like the picture they advertise, but everybody knows not to expect something that looks like what the picture does.
The pizza did not have too much sauce, just the right amount. The crust was just crispy enough. The cheese was melted perfectly on the inside and the melted provolone and cheddar worked great. The pepperoni was maybe not the best choice of topping, but it was pretty good. I’ll probably get this pizza again in the future.
