We just finished editing Cooking With Ninjas Episode 1 - Ninja Sandwich. Check it out on YouTube below and learn how to make the ultimate ninja sandwich !

You can download the higher quality MPG file here: 153 MB. You can watch at Revver if you are having problems with YouTube.

This was the second project for editing class at Pikes Peak Community College. We were originally going to do a Cuban Sandwich, but I didn’t feel like cooking the pork. The sandwich cost about $30 and fed 4 people. It was delicious. We actually lost a light halfway through filming, but still just had a lot of fun making this video. Thanks for watching it, and Digg it if you can! Thanks to Ninja Burger for the logo!

  • Cooking With Ninjas LogoCooking with Ninjas - Episode 01 has been written! I just finished writing the first episode tonight and I love it! It is a very informative piece with a delicious, original item being prepared. There is also just enough humor snuck in so it’s not some boring cooking show. I can’t wait to film this. We are planning on filming Tuesday (along with a scene from another movie we are working on). Editing will be done on Wednesday with the finished product by hopefully Friday. The intro graphics have already been created, and I am now going to work on the rest of the titles in Premiere Pro.

Edit! Cooking With Ninjas has been completed! Watch it here

  • Sammiching
Sammiching is still one of the sites that I want to get running. I am very excited about it, but I don’t do much PHP to be able to finish it. I am hoping that some visitors here might either do PHP or Ruby, and would be interested in helping with this project.

Sammiching! is a website for people to share sandwiches they have made or eaten. Be it the “greatest sandwich in the world” that they want to share, or a really bad sandwich they just had from the shop down the street, warning people not to order it.

Sammiching! will have a profiles page to share information about yourself: location, favorite sandwiches, favorite sandwich shops, small bio, website, etc. You will also be able to have friends on Sammiching!, and also a simple messaging system between users.

Posting a Sammich will have information on how to make the sandwich or where to get it (hopefully building a database of sandwich shops from the places people list). each Sammich will also have pictures (maybe up to 5). Users will be able to rate sammiches from 1 to 5. Users can also favorite a sandwich (where it will show up in their favorite list).

I would like a latest added Sammich section (easy) and also a top rated for the day section. I would like a search section, as well as a browse section where you can check certain things about a Sammich (bread type, purchased or made, etc).

I know a little PHP, and almost no Ruby. If I can get a few people together who would like to help make this site happen, it would be awesome. I don’t have any money to pay out of my pocket right now (broke college student), but shares of advertising revenue would certainly happen. If you are interested in helping to put this website together, please email me or just leave a comment here. I really would like to get this up and running because I think this is something that would really take off. Everybody loves sandwiches. Everybody loves to make and eat them. And this would allow you to try something other than your every day normal sandwich.

  • breakfast burritoI am so happy, I just saw one of the greatest things I’ve ever seen. The new Hardees Country Breakfast Burrito. It is 920 calories and packed with two egg omelets filled with bacon, sausage, diced ham, cheddar cheese, hash browns and sausage gravy. Oh that sounds so tasty.

  • Carlos Miguel’s Mexican restaurant in Colorado Springs and Woodland Park, Colorado is the best Mexican food in the state. Absolutely every item on their menu is tasty and full of flavor and spices. The signature dishes are great creations by the chefs.

Their chips are fantastic. They are not like many other restaurants where it seems they just poured them out of a bag into a basket. Every one of their salsas are full of flavor and delicious. They can make hotter salsas to suit your taste as well as my favorite, their white habanero sauce. Fiery habanero that goes perfect with any of their dishes.

I have visited their Woodland Park location countless times, and their Colorado Springs location once so far. I will be returning frequently, and hope that they continue to expand throughout Colorado and the country.

Check out Carlos Miguel’s in Colorado Springs at 110 E Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. or some of their other locations:

740 N Summit Blvd, Frisco, CO
730 E US Highway 24, Woodland Park, CO

I know there are 6 total in Colorado, but I don’t remember all of them.
