Only one day of school left (in 10 hours). I am so ready for this to end. I have a final tomorrow and hoping to also turn in my late commercials.

I’ve learned so much from this semester in Radio and Television, but learned that it is not something that I want to work in for the rest of my life. I love doing it as a hobby, not as a career. I’ll be able to use everything that I’ve learned this semester to help with a lot of things though, and I really would only go to school for the knowledge.

I have decided on what I am studying next semester, though I won’t announce it here yet. I learn very differently than most people, and the radio / television department was really easy for me to learn because of how it was setup up, though it also let me slack off and is why I probably won’t be getting A’s. Next semester should be easy for me to learn in, but also not let me slack off at all which will help quite a bit.

But I am so ready for tomorrow being an end to everything.

This was the second project for editing class at Pikes Peak Community College. We were originally going to do a Cuban Sandwich, but I didn’t feel like cooking the pork. The sandwich cost about $30 and fed 4 people. It was delicious. We actually lost a light halfway through filming, but still just had a lot of fun making this video. So I have this research paper due at 10 AM. I haven’t started on it. I know my topic (IPTV), I have my sources (two magazines and wikipedia), but I just never really started it, other than the basic ideas. I’ve pretty much accepted that I am going to turn it in late. My excuse to myself: I have been too busy. This is halfway true. I am sure if I spent some time working on it I would have had it halfway completed by now from how busy I was. This just means during my days off this week when I’m not eating food drowning in gravy, I really need to work on the paper.

I also have to put together a few songs for a 3 min still TV production today. I plan on doing that between classes. I hope I can get it done.

I’m trying to map out a couple of ideas I have right now for short films. The war film is one I definitely want to do and try out some special effects now. Nate also emailed me his Assassin stories, which are very awesome and would be seriously fun to make. I’m just trying to get everything in my head down on paper right now.

I think I want to make the war one first, probably in the end of December. I am hoping for snow then for a couple of reasons. First, I want snow in the film, second: I don’t have school so won’t have to worry about driving in it. This is the only time I will ever hope for snow.

I really want to make the assassin ones too. They would probably turn out Sin City style, because the stories are just so descriptive about everything. Maybe we can make those in January.

I’m also trying to think about the whole Broken Fork logo thin as well. Right now I just have that 7 second piece of music with the Broken Fork logo. I’d like to get something actually moving and happening in that like pretty much every intro logo thin has. I’m just playing around with some ideas now, I don’t want to put something up that looks like crap.

Cooking with Ninjas has a rough cut done. I’m looking for some music to go with it, and I think I’ll have it finished in the next time we have lab in class.

I also have to write a 3 page research paper that is due on Monday.

Cory and Nate: We also need to film for your thing. Seriously. Like really seriously.

I’m up early for inspiration. I wrote one of the commercials, and now just need one more idea and to write the remaining 3. I’ll be headed down to the springs shortly to try to find my inspiration again.

It’s 1 AM. I am tired. I know I need to sleep. I just don’t want to for some reason. I have to get up at 7:30 and go to school. I also have to have 4 radio commercials written for school. I have ideas for two of the commercials but don’t have anything written. I can’t write again.

I also need to get music together for the TV project. There’s also the 3 page research paper to write by Monday. I just can’t write again. And I can’t sleep, which I will regret tomorrow.

Gonna try to listen to music and look for products to write about.
